Darren Hauck is a freelance photographer / filmmaker skilled in portraiture, editorial, commercial and documentary story telling. After graduating with a BFA in photography from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design Darren has spent the past 15 years dedicating his life to documenting the human condition. Be it from refugee camps in Southeast Asia to mud-covered, exhausted cyclocross riders, Darren has captured unflinching images of humanity. Although Darren is trained in still-photography, he has expanded his vision to filmmaking, to bring the issues he has dedicated his career to a wider audience. Be it covering social issues and violence in Central America, to HIV in Africa or hunger and poverty in Midwest United States where he calls home, Darren continues to push boundaries and tell the stories that are overlooked by the general media.
